Napa Valley

Are you craving green rolling hills, endless open space, and some of the most world renowned red & whites! Napa valley nestled just north of San Francisco is pure pleasure.

On a recent stay I visited a few exceptional wineries and here they are: First up: Artesia. Featured in the hysterical film Wine Country, this property features 360• degree views of Napa, numerous water features, and one heck of a grand entrance with the front door literally perched in the mountain! The wine was equally delectable, and the property even offered pairings and private seating areas for members/specially reservations.

Next, Kue Hoang winery. This property owned and named after the only Vietnamese Billionaire in Napa, and is much smaller in acreage. Kue Hoang offers a feel of a friendly, cozy ranch home and the intimacy of being able to sit on a back porch literally in the orchard. Easy to miss, this spot was referred to us by a local, and not far from Artesa.

For some more action and historical memorabilia head to Frances Coppola’s. Where you can sit in the actual desk used in The Godfather, or watch an old ford spin in a 360• rotation inside the elaborate estate. Outside, a massive pool, loads of seating, an amphitheater and traditional Italian bocce ball.

Restoration hardware Restaurant & Redwood** Do not miss these! Perched on arguably the most quaint street in all of Napa County, the decedent cocktails & incredible cheeseboards are insatiable. The atmosphere is equally appealing. One could easily dine here each night and still be enthralled. If you happen to be near Sonoma, check out Seared. A local steakhouse serving exceptional meat and fish dishes with urban and hearty twist.
