A truly incredible restaurant focused on Mediterranean Cuisine. Kubu, is one of several on property dinning options at the Ritz Carlton Bali. Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine and known for serving unique 6 and 8 course meals. This dinning experience was unlike any other on the island. Diverging from the typical Asian, or Asian fusion. A nice change for the palette on my long journey through Asia.
Apart from the cuisine, the views are breathtaking. The restaurant is nestled up against the rapidly flowing Ayung River and has an overwhelmingly romantic and chic aesthetic visibly apparent from the first glance. The grounds of the Ritz are impeccable spanning several tens of acres and often requiring a gold cart transport, simply due to the vast expansion of the property. Kubu is located at the southern edge of the property and features insatiable views. One enters Kubu via its’ grand foyer and large open bar, complete with an abundance of fresh flowers, and bamboo. One is then lead into the private dining cocoons for a truly unique dining experience. This proved to be a popular spot for proposals and celebratory events. The Ritz is more than happy to assist with creating an even more spectacular experience.
The setting alone was miraculous, and then the food! From the caviar, duck, filet, and gold crusted desserts. The presentation, service, and cuisine were delightful and made for the perfect end to an extremely relaxing Balinese trip.
