For a relaxing, short trip from Los Angeles head to San Diego. I stayed at the understated and chic US Grant. This hotel is over 100 years old, what in lacks in terms of accomedations (i.e. Gym, pool) it makes up for in character and charm.
This hotel has an old world feel, excellent service, and exceptional drinks at the hotel bar.
Wthin walking distance to local eateries, bars, and events I highly recommend the US Grant.
