2 places you shouldn’t miss in Maui

If you are anything like myself, you can appreciate a delicious island cocktail. The drink of the Hawaian islands, for locals and tourists alike often tends to be a Mai Tai.  How can you go wrong?

Chilled dark rum, a splash of fresh juice and often garnished with a refreshing pinnaple. I have had too much experience testing a variety of Mai Tai’s throughout all of the Hawaiian islands. However, I recently discovered the ultimate Mai tai.

Merriman’s located in Kapalua just north of Lahina, has an astoundingly beautiful panoramic ocean view. Peerched atop a grassy hill, with Napaili Bay to the North and The Ritz Carlton Kapalua to the south, this optimal location is unremarkably private and serene.

The absolute best part is without a doubt, the handmade Mai Tai’s muddled and curated to perfection using a specific recipe. This is a refreshing Mai tai is unlike any-other you may have tried. Do yourself a favor grab a drink at Meriman’s.

Your next stop, The Grand Waliea. If you are wise enough you will either book your resort stay at this property or at the very least, visit for lunch, drinks, or a spa treatment.

An expansive property stretching several acres on the southwest side of the island, The Grand Wailea is about as luxury as one can achieve while staying on Maui.

From countless pools, water slides, gyms, chapels, and it’s own private beach it doesn’t get much better. Did I mention, the underwater elevator?  I would definitely recommend considering staying at this property due to the flexibility of amenities, outstanding service, and proximity to other landmarks/ points of interest.
